One spring-tide day from the Dover Strait to the Thames, Zeeland and Hoek van Holland. The tide wave travels north-east: high water reaches Dover first, Zeebrugge about one and a half hours later and Hoek van Holland after nearly three hours. Particle motion is shown twelve times faster than the water.
