2,500 virtual bottles dropped off Vlissingen on 1 September 2025 and carried by the daily surface current for a year. The bottles ride the coastal current along the Dutch and German coasts and up the west coast of Denmark. In mid-March 2026 a spell of strong currents drove most of them to the tip of Jutland at Skagen, where the North Sea meets the Skagerrak. Others crossed to Norway or were carried north along its coast.
