24 hours of ship traffic in the Kiel Canal, 3 to 4 November 2026. Every ship is drawn at its AIS position and heading, from Brunsbüttel on the Elbe to Kiel-Holtenau on the Baltic, coloured by type. The canal is 98.6 km long, and a transit takes about seven and a half hours. The small blue vessels crossing it are the free canal ferries. Circled: the canal pilots' boats at both ends.
